“Time is an illusion. Lunchtime doubly so.” Those words of British author Douglas Adams are a sentiment shared by many business travellers. With time being one of life’s most precious resources, any opportunity to get more done in less time sounds appealing, doesn’t it?
That’s why I’m looking forward to next week’s Business Travel Show at Kensington Olympia on 21-22 February. I know that exhibitions are busy, often slightly too warm, somewhat hectic environments that challenge the “comfort” claims of any footwear company. But they’re also the best way to meet all the key suppliers and get a close-up view of the latest solutions in the marketplace.
Amadeus is definitely a must-see stand (B930) in 2018. I know you expect me to say that. But I honestly don’t recall seeing a line-up from us that is so jam-packed full of innovation for corporate travel managers, bookers and travellers. Naturally, we’ll be demonstrating the latest version of our integrated trip booking and expense solution, Amadeus cytric Travel & Expense. We’ll also be showcasing how trip planning can be efficiently managed as part of your everyday work environment thanks to our integration with Microsoft Outlook and Salesforce.
Throughout the venue you’ll find Amadeus speaking about the latest advances in mobile technology, payments, as well as solutions for business travel agencies and Virtual Reality prototypes for trip planning and booking. So be sure to take a look around the Travel Technology Europe event upstairs to further maximise your time out of the office.
Back at the Business Travel Show, you won’t want to miss the opportunity to swot up on the latest thinking around the industry’s hot topics. (Insight is one tangible benefit that you can bring back to your office to impress the boss.) Gianni Pisanello, Vice President, Amadeus NDC-X Program, is speaking on one such panel: The NDC Revolution Begins – Triumph or Disaster for your Travel Programme? It takes place on the first day of the event at 10 o’clock in the Pillar Hall. I’d recommend getting there early for that one.
I do hope we’ll see you next week. Stop by Amadeus stand B930 and say hello. I guarantee it will be time well spent.
