Over the past couple of years the Amadeus Training Department has undergone quite a change. We have been working hard to bring relevant Amadeus training to our customers, in a way which suited you, and in locations that are accessible for everyone.
To start, we launched additional training venues in Edinburgh and Chester, this being the first time we had offered training on a regular basis outside of London. This enabled us to bring training closer to a great number of customers. Both of these venues have proved very popular and later this year we will run our first AeTM course at the training centre in Edinburgh.
Next we made more courses available as virtual trainer led sessions. Again, this has made learning more accessible than ever with the added benefit of reducing travel costs. These changes coupled with new courses such as Passport to Travel for new entrants to our industry mean we are training more people than ever.
We then got thinking, what else could we do within the Training Department which could bring our customers real benefit?
Speaking with customers, it became clear that there was a demand for training on topics such as sales skills and Microsoft Office software. However, it became clear that customers didn’t know where to turn to get this type of training. With this in mind we have designed and launched a range of Microsoft Office and soft skills courses.
The Microsoft courses are available as either classroom or short, sharp virtual sessions and come in 3 knowledge levels aimed at beginner, intermediate and advanced users.
People commented that in our industry there are many events and networking opportunities. We observed that people didn’t really know how to get the most out of these opportunities. We have taken that feedback and will be running a Personal Impact Course, aimed at giving delegates a greater understanding of their own persona and how they can change behaviours to get the most out of events.
On top of that we will also be running Sales Skills courses. The objective of these courses is to take an order taker into a true sales person, better able to interact with customers, handle objections all with the obvious aim of increasing sales.
We hope you agree that reaching into these new areas of training, Amadeus puts the relationship with our customers at the centre of everything we do to shape the future of travel. Please take the time to view the full schedule of these new courses on Amadeus e-Learning.
