Last week, Amadeus UK held its inaugural VIP Executive Forum with the launch of Amadeus IT Consulting & Solutions at the prestigious Jumeirah Carlton Tower Hotel in London. This event brought together over 60 of the industry’s movers and shakers from the online, retail and travel management sectors along with local and regional Amadeus experts. The Amadeus UK team demonstrated how our tailor made technology and consultancy services are delivering what our customers need for success.
After a lively networking breakfast, which included some eye-catching Amadeus-branded muffins, we began the day with a key message: Amadeus is evolving. In a dynamic world, we are transforming ourselves from being a technology ‘Provider’ to becoming a highly valued ‘Partner’.
Chris Goring, Head of IT Consulting in the UK, presented various regional and local case studies where Amadeus is making the difference by streamlining operations, helping travel sellers engage with their customers and using tailor-made and customised solutions to gain competitive advantage. For example, we’ve recently helped one household name company create the organisational infrastructure and online presence to sell flights on the web. They sold their first ticket just 2 hours after going live. We’ve also assisted customers with the seamless integration of sales, CRM, quality control and ticketing systems to eliminate costs and improve the customer experience.
Attendees also heard from our very learned guest speaker, Professor Jim Norton, who gave the first public airing of his new report commissioned by Amadeus and entitled Open for Business. Coincidentally, this hot topic even featured in the Financial Times on the very same day, showing that Amadeus is in tune with the technology trends and issues of interest to global business.
Following the presentations, customers flocked to the Speed Consulting & Solutions Showcase, a unique opportunity to gain first-hand knowledge of some of the UK’s customised solutions and consultancy success stories. Customer feedback following the event has been extremely positive, with average satisfaction ratings of 4.3 out of 5 across the board.
