We all appreciate a pat on the back from time to time, which is why we were delighted to pick up the Technology Supplier of the Year at last weekend’s Uniglobe British Isle Awards held in London. This accolade follows on from our recent spate of agency-voted award wins in Ireland.
Diane Bouzebiba, Managing Director, Amadeus UK & Ireland was on hand to collect the prestigious award. She said, “We are proud of our investment in smarter technology, so we were absolutely thrilled to receive this prestigious award from Uniglobe members. Our off-the-shelf solutions are easy to implement and affordable, which is a winning combination for SME travel businesses with big ambitions.”
These awards are based on votes from Uniglobe travel agency members. For each category, Uniglobe members shortlist their top three favourite companies in order of preference, which this year included reservations and back office software developers in addition to Amadeus. The scores are then tallied and an overall winner emerges.
Derek Hearl-Maunder, President of Uniglobe British Isles added, “We value the technology and genuine business partnership we receive from Amadeus. By voting for this award, it is clear that our independent travel agency members, who are delivering choice and local expertise, recognise Amadeus as a clear leader in its field.”
Also at the gala ceremony, which is held every 2 years, Amadeus was delighted to present the award for Business Improvement. We heartily congratulate all of the nominees for their achievements throughout 2012; Channel Island Executive Travel Ltd t/a Travel Solutions, CT Business Travel and Uniglobe Total Travel.
On the night, the winning agency in this close run competition was CT Business Travel. This Uniglobe member dramatically increased their travel bookings year on year and also doubled their automated hotel bookings, as well as delivering excellence in global customer service.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank each of the Uniglobe members who took the time to vote for Amadeus.
